In Todays World, It is important for A man to look and be his best, not just for himself, but to be presentable to the people and women around him. He must first learn how to approach women. In the 90's, Men could get away with wearing ripped and baggy Jeans, flannel shirts and greased up hair. Well, Im happy to say, that look is Never coming back (thank god).
The First thing to think about when choosing what to wear on a first date, is what will convey your personality the best?
Are you the rocker/Indie type? Then mabye you could get away with wearing tight Jeans and fluorescent shirts that convey your lifestyle.
Are you the Business Type? Then mabye you could get away with wearing a long sleeved shirt and some nice black pants.
Whatever Personality/image you want to convey, you have to make sure its believable and that it will work for you. Wear clothes that fit you well, and show off your best assets. If you are a bit 'round' then wear darker colors and mabye a pin striped long sleeve shirt to distract the woman's eyes from your belly, to the assets, like the length of your torso/how tall you are
Nice Shoes is A MUST. Wear Dress shoes that are clean (preferably new) or at least polished. Many Women Judge guys by the kinds of the shoes they wear, not so much what brands the guys wear, but if they are kept in good condition, and are polished, as it displays if you are a hygienic - well kept person.
If you are going to a more formal location for the first date, then usually classy attire is required (for example; collared shirt/ long pants/nice jeans) , but if you are just having a coffee at cafe, then you can get away wearing some jeans and a nice shirt.
Its not really important in what brands you wear, if its marc jacobs, nike, true religion, abercrombie, american eagle, whatever!as long as it represents your personality, and that its clean and pristine. Women Love guys who spend a few minutes on themselves before a date, shaving, showering, ironing their shirt, polishing their shoes, cleaning their teeth and using a dab of some nice aftershave (a dab, NOT A WASH) I recommend some Gucci, Armarni Code and Ralph Lauren.
